THE VISION 2010

Youth
The vision for senior youth 2010, what is
it? Well it’s a question that I don’t
really know how to answer. There are a host
of phrases that immediately spring to mind:
“Seeking God”, “growing
our relationships”, “looking
for maturity”, making an impact”.
Those are just a few of the things that
spring to mind, and while all of it is good,
and things we strive for, I can honestly
say that none of those can be given the
title of the 2010 vision.
So then, there is still the question of
the vision, and I guess that if I have to
describe it, it would have to be this, for
the youth to be able to sit down in the
quietness of our hearts and being able to
declare that God is God, LORD, King and
Saviour.
God is very real, and I would love the
youth to get a new understanding of this,
that they would realize that everything
is about God, and that it isn’t about
us at all. So then, does that answer the
question? I think it does, the time is now
for a generation that doesn’t focus
on themselves, but turns their eyes to Jesus
and live out the command of love.
