2) Our Mission Statement is to fulfill Matthew 28:18-20 viz. “I have been given complete authority in heaven and earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given to you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

To this end the focus of our Missions is directed towards standing alongside and supporting existing missionaries and pastors or churches already planted, locally and further afield.

The financing of our mission work stems primarily from the tithes and gifts of congregation members, with the missions committee being mindful of being good stewards of what ultimately belongs to God.

3) Our Vision Statement for Missions is that all within the Howick Community Church accept that they are entering the missions field everytime they leave the church building.

To this end we promote mission and missionary literature in the church library, establish and maintain regular , meaningful and two-way communication with the missionaries and/or organizations we support, invite missionaries to visit the church and hear them speak or preach at both church and cell group meetings, and seek to promote church ownership of missions by publicizing the mission activities through report-backs to the congregation.
