Pre-Primary, situated at 99 Main Street, is a special
place where children are busily engaged in exciting and
fun-filled learning experiences underpinned by a Christian
ethos. The school prepares each child in their uniqueness
in the areas of emotional, social, physical, intellectual,
aesthetic and spiritual development and our pledge is
to provide “Excellence in the Education, Care and
Spiritual Development of your Child.
The School has four classes to cater for the different
age groups and these include;
- Pooh Bears 5 to 6 year olds (Grade R class)
- Eyeores 4 to 5 year olds
- Piglets 3 to 4 year olds
- Little Roos 2 to 3 year olds
Our staff compliment is made up of (Principal) Michelle
Braithwaite, Kathy Hughes, Charmaine Blythe, Francis
van Heerden and teacher aide Mbali Hlongwane. Each of
these ladies is suitably qualified and totally committed
to the teaching and caring for the children in such
a way that their uniqueness is identified in order that
they can be nurtured towards reaching their full potential
both in terms of learning and development. By virtue
of our small sized classes the teachers are in a position
to give each child this type of individual attention.
The facilities at the school are unmatched in Howick.
Situated on a large property (2000sqm) with appropriate
play equipment, the entire school building is decorated
in a Winnie-the-Pooh motif and is secured by a continuous
boundary wall and a single monitored electric gate.

Pre-Primary opens at 07:30 each morning, five days a
week. The formal school programmes start at approximately
08:15 and close at 12:00 midday. The School also offers
an After Care facility which is available on either
a permanent or flexi basis and is run by Anette Bailey.
The After Care hours are between 12:30pm and 17:00pm
during term times.
