John
was born in Cape Town in 1945. Junior schooling was completed
at St. Stithians College in Johannesburg and senior schooling
in Salisbury, Rhodesia. John went to Natal University in Durban
and graduated with a B.Com. degree in 1968. In 1973, John
qualified as a CA Rhodesia and was registered as a CA S.A.
in 1984.
John’s working career was outside of the profession
and mostly in financial management. At the end of 2005, at
age 60, John retired from Mondi Ltd.
John married Noeline in 1969 and they have three grown up
children – two in Natal and one in Perth, Australia.
They have five precious grandchildren – three in Natal
and two in Perth.
John and Noeline live in Hilton and started worshipping at
Howick Community Church at the beginning of 1997. At the end
of 1998, John became a deacon in the Church and became treasurer
at the beginning of 2000. John became the first Administrator
of the Church in February 2006.
